Alero is an advocate for women's health, a blogger, and a speaker. Her health journey, which took a significant turn in 2017, inspired her to journal her experiences and interview other women facing various health challenges, including those caring for children with health issues. Over the years, she has focused on raising awareness about fibroids, adenomyosis, and endometriosis as she has battled through the pain associated with these conditions. Alero has undergone several surgeries and procedures in the last two decades, and lived with chronic pain for over three decades. Ultimately, she decided to have a total hysterectomy in February 2024, now, she also speaks about Menopause.
After nearly giving up on advocacy due to backlash regarding her openness about menstrual health and her worsening health, she decided to persevere and carry on. She connected with women who shared their struggles and stories. This motivated her to focus on women's health, raising awareness about both mental health and womb health.
She has established a platform called FemPowerHub, where women can feel safe sharing their stories and health journeys related to these issues. In 2025, she plans to reach out to more women, particularly within the Black community, to encourage them to speak up and advocate for themselves.
FemPowerHub is a safe place for women to express themselves, share their stories, learn about their menstrual health and menopause, and support each other.
This is also an educative space to help us grow and build ourselves as women.
